ABOUT ME

Americana is the youth affairs representative of UNESCO Hong Kong Association (UNESCO HKA ), a UNSDGs certified teacher of the Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development (HiESD), and an Associate Member of the World Institute of Sustainable Development Planner (WiSDP). She has a strong passion for sustainability and technologies and believes that education, innovation and youth advocation are key to a better future for all. She is the advocator for the UNESCO Hong Kong Association Green Citizens Youth Ambassadors Project in which she coordinates youth from different backgrounds to initiate sustainability projects, deliver workshops and talks, and engage the society to transit toward sustainable development.

She has coordinated and taught the "UNSDGs Youth Tutor Training Programme" and "Green Talent Training Programme" for HiESD, mainly focusing on topics related to ESG, Sustainable Development Planning, Climate Change and Net Zero. She has published her own book - "Hi17 SDGs: Sustainable Development in the Dynamic World" and was the assistant editor for the bilingual publication on climate change education - "Climate Literacy and Low Carbon Lifestyle". She is also an active speaker, she has delivered talks to various schools such as Island School of Hong Kong, Yew Chung International School of Hong Kong on topics related to sustainability and working at UNESCO HKA.

While pursuing a statistics and economics joint degree at University College London, she also seeks to utilise data analysis skills to promote sustainable development. She has the experience of working as the project officer of impact and fundraising for SDSN Youth (mainly responsible for data analysis of student SDGs hubs around the globe).

“Hi 17SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals in the Dynamic World”

This book provides the reader with a comprehensive overview of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. It is more than a summary or transcript for the podcast “Hi 17 SDGs” hosted by two Certified Sustainable Development Planners – Prof. Thomas C. C. WONG and Prof. Karen Q. CHEUNG. In each chapter, the author extends on each SDG from her own perspective, the perspective of the youth, and provide additional information in the discovery section. Unique and innovative ideas from the young bright mind, supported by research, coupled with expert opinions made the book an informative and refreshing introductory guide to SDGs for the readers.
